Adam Washburne is an attorney currently assisting the firm in various matters with experience in the areas of land use, real estate, oil and gas, and environmental law.
Adam graduated from the University of Mount Union in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy. While at Mount Union, Adam participated in Model United Nations, the Pre-Law Society, and captained the Men’s Lacrosse team.
Adam graduated from Vermont Law School in 2023. At Vermont, Adam served on the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law as a Staff Editor before being elected to the Editorial Board as the Journal’s Symposium Editor. While in school Adam worked with a private construction litigation firm in Colorado and with the Office of Legislative Counsel for the Vermont General Assembly.
After law school Adam moved to Alaska to serve as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Andrew Peterson at the Anchorage Superior Court, handling felonies and Post-Conviction Relief civil appeals. He then worked for the State Pipeline Coordinator’s Section as a Natural Resource Specialist and Project Coordinator within the Alaska Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Oil and Gas. With ADNR Adam primarily focused on the adjudication of proposed and existing common carrier petro-chemical pipelines on state of Alaska lands. Adam enjoyed the varied and intensive work at ADNR, specifically working on the Pikka Sales Oil Pipeline on the North Slope and the proposed 807-mile AK LNG natural gas pipeline project.
Adam now resides in Canton, Ohio, with his wife Alissa and adventure buddy Freyja. Adam enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and backcountry snowboarding when the opportunity arises.
