Peer-nominated as a 2025 and 2026 Super Lawyers Rising Star, Kelsey M. Sullivan focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions and complex business transactions. She represents business owners, investors, and companies in the purchase, sale, and restructuring of businesses, advising clients through all stages of a transaction—from initial structuring and due diligence through negotiation and closing.
Experienced in negotiating and closing middle-market M&A transactions totaling more than $200 million, Kelsey regularly counsels clients on asset and equity acquisitions, business dispositions, succession planning, and entity formation and governance. She works closely with business owners and leadership teams to structure transactions that align with both legal and business objectives, negotiate key deal terms, and navigate the legal and operational issues that arise in sophisticated transactions.
In addition to her transactional practice, Kelsey represents developers, investors, and businesses in commercial and residential real estate matters that frequently intersect with broader business transactions. Her experience includes negotiating and drafting purchase agreements, coordinating due diligence, and addressing issues related to leases, environmental matters, oil and gas rights, and easements, liens, and other encumbrances affecting real property.
Kelsey graduated magna cum laude from the University of Mount Union. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Akron McDowell School of Law in 2019 and is admitted to practice in all Ohio courts and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. She is a member of the Stark County and Ohio State Bar Associations and is active within Leadership Stark County.
